The state of the art in optical shop testing has made considerable advances in the ten years since the publication of the first edition of this book. Going beyond semiquantitative tests such as the Foucault precision optical component and Ronchi, time precision optical component and precision have been gained with growing contributions from electronic detectors, coherent light sources, precision optical component and computer-aided data analysis.
